ABB & Consent Decree sites
ABB Cleanup & Plans for Lemon Lane, Bennett's and Neal's Landfills
Consent Decree Amendment Approved
CIC Update, Sept 19, 2009
Cleanup Plans include:
- Lemon Lane Water Treatment to expand to 99% capture of PCBs. CBS has taken possession and will operate it until levels drop below 0.3 ppb
- Neal's Landfill Expanded collection system, 450 GPM treatment. Goal to reduce fish concentrations.
- Bennett's Dump Lower nearby quarry water levels, build and maintain new collection & treatment plant
- CBS pays Damages $7,669,000 to EPA for response costs & expenses, as well as $1,881,000 for natural resource damages.
