PCB Levels during pump test at Lemon Lane

July 31-Aug 6, 2001

Results from the August pump tests showed a drawdown in all wells drilled to the 795–800 ft. elevation range. PCBs at MW-4I peaked at 4000 ppb 5 minutes into the test, while there was no decrease in PCB content at ICS at the time of the test. Water flow at ICS decreased about 7 gpm at the start of the test, while PCBs at ICS decreased from 8.8 to 2.5 ppb 48 hours after the test. Two pump tests were conducted on LF-6 but only about 9 gallons pumped were from each test, and it was concluded that it was not a good location for a pumping well.

Warning! Eat no fish from Clear Creek, Pleasant Run, Salt or Richland Creeks.
