Week of September 25th

Building Demolition

  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example).
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Disconnect gas line at main (off site, Vectren; September 25th)
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Complete below grade utility disconnects and capping.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Complete plugging of all drains and holes in floor.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Set air perimeter monitoring equipment for PCB removal.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Complete preparations for removal of roof area contaminated with PCBs by removing gravel and removing equipment in plant below areas, and cutting roof drains.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Drain PCB-containing electrical switches stored in North Storage Building.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Begin removal of PCB contaminated areas inside the plant.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Dewater sumps and containment in the building and use water to test storm water treatment/control system.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Continue draining all above ground storage tanks, process vessels, process lines and other equipment.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Remove asbestos for off-site disposal.

Week of October 2nd

Building Demolition

  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Complete removal of Universal Wastes.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Complete removal of interior PCB contamination.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Begin removal of PCB roof contamination.
  • Continue management of any remaining Universal Wastes (freon for example). Run air monitors during PCB roof demolition.
Warning! Eat no fish from Clear Creek, Pleasant Run, Salt or Richland Creeks.
