This was corrected and the minutes were approved as amended. Permitting Activities Hopkins said that there were no permitting activities this month. He said, however, that the consent decree parties had been meeting regularly and they had several fruitful meetings. The subject of the meetings is sensitive and he had rather not discuss the meetings. Hopkins said that when the consent decree parties had something to share with the public, there would be ample opportunity for public involvement. Porter asked why the parties were meeting. Hopkins said because the permitting process had slowed and that the sites still needed to be remediated, the consent decree parties are meeting to discuss what can be done. List wanted to know if they are going to have a press release on Thursday. Hopkins said that the parties were not that close to making a decision. Remedial Activities Hopkins said that the excavation work at the ABB Plant was completed. He said that the only area that has not been addressed is the Water Tower Area. New Business Adjournment The meeting was adjourned by George Hegeman at 8:05 pm. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, February 22nd, 1994 at 7:00 p.m. in Room 123 at IU's Jordan Hall.
