Clear Creek (West Side)

The site referred to as the West Side of Clear Creek is a parcel of land directly across Clear Creek from the Winston Thomas Treatment Plant. The soil became contaminated presumably by the practice of spreading sewage sludge on soil. The PCB contamination at this site was first discovered a few years ago -- twenty years after PCB contamination was discovered at the Winston-Thomas Treatment Plant. Contaminated soil was excavated from the West Side of Clear Creek and taken to a TSCA landfill.

Warning! Eat no fish from Clear Creek, Pleasant Run, Salt or Richland Creeks.
